Star@Work: High-performance Strategies for Knowledge WorkersSM grows out of two decades of research, observation, and consulting by Dr. Robert E. Kelley. He developed the Star@Work curriculum working with the Bell Labs staff and further refined it with other organizations.

Robert E. Kelley, Ph.D., cocreator of Star@Work, is adjunct professor of business at the Graduate School of Industrial Administration at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He also works as a management consultant and is the author of How To Be A Star At Work: Nine Star@Work Strategies You Need to Succeed, The Gold-Collar Worker, The Power of Followership, and Consulting.

Mr. Kelley has been a senior management consultant with the Stanford Research Institute, a visiting scholar at the Harvard Business School, has worked for the Big Eight accounting firm of Ernst and Young, and has run his own business. He currently divides his time among writing, teaching, and consulting. His primary areas of interest include turning average performers into superstars, leveraging intellectual capital as a competitive advantage, and cultivating productive leader-follower relationships.
